......so I just wandered into this movie not knowing what to expect and was more than drawn in. Definitely a film that captures the Warhol era. Though Edie is the focus, it seems to be in a way, actually in a warhol kind of way, really a film about him. Though Warhol comes off negatively in contrast to Dylan, it works in the sense that this "factory" world was so much what Warhol was trying to convey in his work. Though I think too many confuse Warhol's art with him, I doubt he was as "plastic" as the film portrays him. I love Dylan as much as anyone, and the juxtapostition of the two was certainly interesting, but it did seem just a little slanted.
Okay, so reading over this, it sounds a bit negative, but I really liked the film.

Sun, February 18, 2007 - 6:25 PMOkay, so I totally agree with the slate review, though I oddly liked the movie anyway. The portrayal of Warhol is pretty one dimensional, actually Dylan too, but then the movie is really about Edie.... -
